Free Me Laurelin Paige Book Review Score: ★★★★★ 5/5 stars
I wasn't supposed to be working the night I met JC.
Before him, I'd been content with the daily grind, managing one of NYC's top nightclubs. So what if my life didn't have a happily ever after? I didn't believe in that anyway.
Then JC showed up.
Sexy, rich and smooth-talking, JC is nothing more than a distraction. I'm not interested in a night-in-shining latex so it's easy to push the playboy away. Or it is until my life spins unexpectedly out-of-control. Then he's there for me, offering a new method of survival, one based on following primal urges and desires that requires me to abandon my constant need for control.
His no-strings-attached lessons obliterate my carefully built walls. And as I discover freedom, I start to feel things for him that I shouldn't. Things that make me fear for my newly vulnerable heart. Because JC has secrets of his own, and his secrets don't want to set him free.
BOOK ONE OF TWO. This series can be read alone or with the Fixed Trilogy.

User reviews about this book
I absolutely LOVED this book. It was a great read. The only issue I had was that it is a cliffhanger ending. The book was so great that I was willing to purchase the second one, only to realize that the price is more than I usually pay. Now I’ll have to live with not knowing 🤷🏾♀️.
Non Stop Intriguing Emotional Read

I loved loved loved this book, only reason I gave it 4 stars is sheerly due to it ending. Soooo my review is actually above a 5. I couldn’t put it down or give up.
I actually liked the book but my only critic is it was to wordy. when she went into her head and would leave him just waiting for a reply but besides that it actually was a good book!
way too long
By going for the MAT
it could have been half the length and much less annoying simply by not going over and over and over the problems facing the relationship (or lack thereof) to the point that you’re ready to scream and slap the two of them, or at least a noogie to the head, for dragging it out. good gods, stop beating a dead horse already and get on with the story!

Written well, but I don’t like books that depend on the previous book. It wasn’t that great.
So much happening
This book was beyond amazing. It kept me guessing as to what the heck was the big secret. Gwen and JC (is that his real name?) have so much emotion between them, but they don’t have the back story to each others’ lives. They try and only find themselves being pulled apart. How will they find their way back together?

Good read, angsty and yet sweet however there is a cliffhanger!
I wish I could have the time back that I invested in this book. It was gruelling to get through but I kept hoping it might get better. It didn’t. Miserable is the only description I can give this pathetic story.
