Jackson Michaels, an African American, narrated his story as an American at a time when racism was expected to be dwindling in America. He luckily met Lydia, a white American, that was different that was not among the crowd. Her effort to help Jackson get a better job in their family company was thwarted by her brother, William, who was a racist. Things seemed to change when Regina, a beautiful African American, suddenly showed up in their company for a job and William would not resist her charms. He wanted to employ Regina but Lydia opposed the idea even when he agreed to accept Jackson as a full member of the company. That made William wonder why her sister treated Regina differently. Things got worst for William when Regina suddenly disappeared just as she suddenly showed up. Now William desperately wants Regina back and he would give anything to find her. It was then that he discovered some secrets about the lady he simply knew as Regina Keys. Would he let her go or would he still do everything to have her? The book is thrilling and filled with suspense, act of racism, true love, and the spirit of true brotherhood.
