Abstract; The objective was to assess nutrition knowledge, attitudes, and weight control behaviors among teachers--from South Carolina. A sample of 93 teachers was randomly selected from all state public schools. Univariate analysis, chi-squares and t-tests were used for analysis. Teachers had fair knowledge levels and positive nutrition attitudes. Media was the preferred approach for training, panel discussions the most effective method of teaching. Over three fourths were concerned about their weight and 33.5% were overweight/obese. During the past month, 4.6% used diet pills and 45% used other methods to control weight. Results provide baseline data for planning nutrition education programs. **********
