Lance Michelli is on a quest to discover the secrets his grandmother cannot tell. What happened all those years ago, and what is it she so desperately needs him to find? The old villa in Sonoma holds the answers, but it is now owned by a young woman who neither knows nor cares about his mission. But Rese Barret is a force to contend with, and her own impending storm could sweep him up as their sparring creates a fierce and uncomfortable attraction. From bestselling author Kristen Heitzmann.

I love this book! It drew me in like no other I’ve read. The innocence, hurt, unknowing of where life will lead you, kept the anticipation for me. I believe the best parts were bringing God into the story and how only He can heal and get you through all things. However, the BEST thing in this story is keeping the character virtue and not having lust and desire take over the pages. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Looking forward to reading more from Kristen Heitzmann.

This was my first book to read by this author. It was skillfully crafted around the lives of two young adults brought together under unusual circumstances. I was so drawn into the story. It’s been along time since I read a book that was very difficult to set aside to do other tasks. I will most certainly look for more books by Kristen Heitzmann.

I was intrigued buy the Antonia storyline so I kept reading, only to find out that by the end of the book it really wasn’t answered. Instead, it was all about turning rese into a Christian. The book had so much potential but I don’t need a church service to go with it.

Typical Christian love story. Not saying that is bad. It seems to drag out. You know the ending, lets just get there

Characters with real life feelings & issues - walking in faith & sometimes stumbling along the road, as we humans are wont to do.

Great story line. I can hardly wait for the next book in this line. The characters were well developed, you can almost see them while you read the book. The author did a great job with the story line. It was believable and not sappy. The Biblical references only served to strengthen the story. Thank you for this great novel. These also gave the reader good references when daily troubles arise. Thought provoking too.
