I do not like books that do not have an ending. I will not read another book by this author or these authors. At least have some sort of a conclusion.
  • I opted not to read based on ALL reviews.

Sadly, all the reviews about the ending stopped me from downloading the book...didn't bother to read. But it appears there may be other books that may lead to an ending?!
  • Left Hanging at End

Enjoyable story with much insight to the era and well-developed characters. However, I felt like the author omitted the final chapter or two, with too many loose ends hanging. Michael still in the Yukon, living in a dangerous and hostile environment. Uncle still a threat but having severe headaches, on which the author placed much emphasis, as if leading up to a climax or resolution. The heroine still underage and no home to call her own, and evil uncle still scheming against her. Perhaps author will use next book in the trilogy to resolve this story, but that's not fair since that is supposed to be the story of one of the other cousins. I was not happy at the end of this book. 😞
  • Good storyline

This is a great storyline. I enjoyed reading about this rich wealthy family. I got it free on iTunes and I just purchases the 2nd book. Fannys story is more interesting than her cousins so I hope the 2nd and 3 rd part of the story is not dedicated entirely to them. I want to see the demise of uncle Jonas and the triumph of fanny and her beau.
  • Good book

This book is a historical fiction with little romance and a little Christianity thrown in. Overall, it has a good plot but it ends with a cliffhanger. This book is perfect for any age level.
  • Not finished

This book is not finished. And after reading the description of the other books in the series, it seems they are not about Fanny. So I guess we'll never know what happened to her and Michael and her fortune. I was very disappointed.

Did not like the way the book ended - abruptly, the characters were random.... Sorry

A good story but I felt the book ended poorly and abruptly. This book will leave you hanging! I wouldn't waste my time if I knew there wouldn't be an ending! No conclusion!!! Very bad!
