The Forest of Hands and Teeth Carrie Ryan Book Review Score: ★★★★★ 5/5 stars

In Mary's world there are simple truths.
   The Sisterhood always knows best.
The Guardians will protect and serve.
   The Unconsecrated will never relent.
And you must always mind the fence that surrounds the village; the fence that protects the village from the Forest of Hands and Teeth.
But, slowly, Mary’s truths are failing her. She’s learning things she never wanted to know about the Sisterhood and its secrets, and the Guardians and their power. And, when the fence is breached and her world is thrown into chaos, about the Unconsecrated and their relentlessness.
Now, she must choose between her village and her future, between the one she loves and the one who loves her. And she must face the truth about the Forest of Hands and Teeth. Could there be life outside a world surrounded in so much death?

  • It's missing something

I felt the main character was a bit lackluster, and I never really made an emotional attachment to her. I know it's a trilogy but the story doesn't make me want to continue on. It's a post apocalyptic romance novel with forced character development and missed opportunities.

This book was great! It had me on the edge of my seat throughout most of it. But, it was a rather depressing novel at times.

I love this book series and cannot wait for the movies to come out! Although iTunes says this novel is "Children's Fiction", I personally think it is too violent for children….. So iTunes…. jump on it!

I'm not necessarily into zombies per-say but this book kept me on my toes. Loved the characters. Plenty of action and some romance. The plot was creative! I hear a movie is in the works! Can't wait to see!!!

Whiel this is an excelent read it didnt fit me. Im up for loads of action, upbeat characters, and romance is nice too. Whiel it had this it wasnt displaed the way i would have liked. Another thing i hate it when authors get you all warmed up to a character and then they just kill them off... I get so upset. But if you like future/zombie/tradgity this is absolutly perfect for you.

Speaking as someone who has read over 50 books this year I would recommend this book. While it can be boring at times it is fast paced and if you keep reading you will be glad you did. If I wer to rank it out of 1000 I would rate it 975
