Rainbow Boys Alex Sanchez Book Review Score: ★★★★★ 5/5 stars
Navigating through an intolerant world and their own insecurities, three teenage boys find each other and the confidence to come out of the closet.
Three teenage boys, coming of age and out of the closet. Jason Carrillo is a jock with a steady girlfriend, but he can't stop dreaming about sex...with other guys. Kyle Meeks doesn't look gay, but he is. And he hopes he never has to tell anyone—especially his parents. Nelson Glassman is "out" to the entire world, but he can't tell the boy he loves that he wants to be more than just friends...
In a revealing debut novel that percolates with passion and wit, Alex Sanchez follows these very different high-school seniors as their struggles with sexuality and intolerance draw them into a triangle of love, betrayal, and ultimately, friendship.

User reviews about this book
I read this book in grade school and it was absolutely one of the best books I've read. Worth the buy. Worth the read. Definitely worth your time.
I've read the whole series & it is so worth the short time (they're not Harry Potter long) it takes to read them.
Reads like an abc after school special but it's very cute. I enjoyed it, even though it's not always Shakespeare.
Loved this book

I this book.
I have read the paper version of this book, and I am very excited to see it on the iBook Store. This book, and this series (Rainbow Boys, Rainbow High, and Rainbow Road) got me through a difficult time in my life. Coming out isn't easy for everyone and this book really helped me. I have read all three of these books more times than I can remember. I recommend these books to any gay boy or man that needs a good story to bring them joy.
