Has the "settle-for-less" financial plan become your plan for wealth? It sounds a little something like this:

"Graduate from college, get a good job, save 10% of your paycheck, cancel the movie channels, quit drinking expensive Starbucks, save and penny-pinch for decades, trust your life-savings to an indexed-fund peddled from Wall Street, and then one day, when you are oh, say, 65 years old, you can retire rich.”

Welcome to the greatest scam of the modern world, one that will take you 50 years of your youth to realize that you were conned. You don’t want to DIE rich in life’s tired twilight, you want to LIVE rich in vibrant youth.

Unfortunately, since you were old enough to work a job, you've been lied to by an army of financial profiteers and mainstream media hucksters. The ruse? The reckless idea that TIME can create wealth through patient investing with the most untrusted people on the planet… Wall Street. That’s right, invest in an indexed-fund for 50 years while blindly trusting the uncontrollable and unpredictable markets: the housing market, the stock market, and the job market.

This soul-sapping, dream-stealing dogma is known as the “The Slowlane" - an impotent financial gamble that dubiously promises wealth in a wheelchair. Accept the Slowlane as your financial roadmap and your future will carelessly drift on a sailboat of HOPE: HOPE you can get a job and keep it, HOPE the stock market doesn't crash, HOPE the economy stays solvent, HOPE, HOPE, and HOPE. Is HOPE really a solid centerpiece for family's financial plan?

Drive the Slowlane and you will find your life deteriorate into a miserable exhibition about what you cannot do, versus what you can.

If you refuse the lifetime subscription to mediocrity, penny-pinching, and “waiting to retire so I can finally enjoy life” there's an alternative; an expressway to extraordinary wealth capable of burning a trail to financial independence faster than any road out there. And shockingly, this road has nothing to do with the Wall Street, jobs, 401(k)s, index-funds, or a mindless regimen of frugality.

Demand more. Change lanes and create your explosive wealth accelerator. Hit the Fastlane, crack wealth’s code, and live rich young, and for a lifetime.

I have been reading numerous wealth related books but this book is one of the best books I recommend. MJ really goes direct as if his really talking to you in person. He really puts a lot of great perspectives and touch on gray areas that we have struggled with.

If you read this book and take it’s lessons to heart you will increase your net worth. It’s not the standard information or advice. It’s paradigm-shifting. Take a chance and really incorporate it into your life. Highly recommended.
  • Plenty of great points made

I have been a successful entrepreneur for 16 years up until around August of 2019. I got a job at a call center, IT Service Desk, $15/hr. I felt miserable every day. COVID-19 showed up and forced me away from that job. I had time to do lots of other things for a bit there. I just finished reading this book and am now completely motivated to get back to entrepreneurship. I have used a lot of the same tactics in my own business endeavors over the years so I feel confident what the author says is legit. I would say about 25% of this book was new to me, and I also feel confident that if i integrate those eye openers into my current formula, i’ll be back on top in no time. Ill try to update this review after i’m successful again.
  • Transitioning from Corporate to Entrepreneurial Paths

    By Runamuks
A friend purchased this book for me after I had recently expressed I will be transitioning from being a corporate executive to pursuing entrepreneurial ventures (always wanted to but was always sucked into the “slow lane” mantras to play it “safe”). My natural intuition is to go fast, have experienced performing at optimal levels in corporations, only to be stopped short of further advancement by old white dudes sitting up top riding on my execution. MJ’s guidance is very relevant and applicable. The organization and “to-the-point” content is much appreciated and refreshing. I especially like the way he dives into details of his salient points and offers actionable guidance with easy to retain summations of the material presented in each section. A key takeaway for me is to not trade one hell for another, but to opt for a path that offers passive income and financial independence. I’ve been tinkering on the cusp of settling, after feeling like I had broken free from the slowlane, only to realize that my path was not so sustainable. Read this book cover to cover in 48 hours with some life hacks of my own and this content has definitely armed me with sustaining fast lane knowledge. Sincerest thanks MJ!
