Read it. It'll be one of your favorites
Perhaps it wasn't crichtons "best." Who cares? I loved every word. Great adventure. Wonderful revenge. The best is Captain Blood, but this isn't far behind.

Great read.i found this book to be one of the best books written on pirates. I was drawn in and held captivated at every page.
Great fun read. Most 14 year old white boys will like it. Seems like it was based on true history yet i doubt the part about the kraken,

Very captivating, love this author!
Great book. A quick read.
Well done. Solid plot.
Excellent read. You are captured by the story almost instantly, drawn in by the adventurous characters that joyfully stir your imagination. If you are at all a fan of the expeditions of Captain Jack Sparrow then you will enjoy this book.
Love the book. Have been a fan of Crichton since Jurassic Park and his stories still capture my imagination.
Much too short and something I don't think Michael Crichton would've had published. There just doesn't seem to be much transitioning between events in the book. The book almost seems geared to teenagers if you take out some of the adult events. Save your money and let this ship sail.
Great book but needed the lacking final touches only the author himself could have done
This was just a fun book to read. I haven't found a book from him I didn't like.
