The depth of information this book brings draws me in the most. A lot of questions I have had through my training process that are not usually asked I have had to google. This book has those answers. They incorporate an FAA perspective so that you never have to wonder what the interpretation is. Its also presented with neat organization, and easy to read. Although long, this book spans as a necessity from private all the way to CFI’s. It can be incorporated into flight school curriculums and I plan to use it when I am a free lance instructor. Its worth the money and I highly recommend

Very concise and well organized way of explaining and studying what is covered in a PPL check-ride with many insights into even the smallest details. If you’re a PPL student or CFI you needs this.

This is one of the best private pilot practical test prep materials I’ve seen. It breaks down the ACS in and helps bring all the knowledge, that you’ve learned through training, into a clear, succinct answer for your checkride. This would have made the oral portion of my Checkride go much smoother. I had all the knowledge, but I couldn’t articulate some of the answers clearly. This would have helped me organize some of the knowledge in my head.

This book is extremely detailed and provides an in-depth look at the Airmen Certification Standards (ACS). A great knowledge bank of information that is vital for preparing a student for the practical test. Chocked full of examples, scenarios, checklists and information geared to make the practical test a breeze! — Dan Christman, 2018 National FAA Flight Instructor of the Year

This book is amazing! Well worth the money, I’m a CFI, and use this to help cover grounds with my students, lots of quality information. I recommend to all my students that they buy this book to prepare for their private pilot check ride. It covers all the tasks needed in the ACS with references!!

So I really liked your book, it has a lot of great information, and the only one of its kind that I’m aware of. I used your checklist for the checkride and it came in very handy. I really enjoy having it, even though I didn’t get it finished before my checkride. The information can be useful even after being issued my ppl. I didn’t really use it like I should of building up to my checkride, and wish I got this started sooner, however I’m very happy with the purchase and glad to have it in my arsenal. Thanks SJ

As a CFI, I try to save my students time and money when I can. I think this book would be a great addition to any CFI’s toolkit or a student pilot wanting to study on their own. This book goes into great detail of what is expected of a pilot presenting themselves for a practical test. This book will go a long way towards getting you prepared for a successful oral portion of the checkride!
  • A GREAT tool for both CFIs and students!

This ACS guide is a wonderful asset for students to prepare for their PPL checkride. It follows the ACS task by task and gives a ton of detailed information on each subject. Students can use this as study material while CFIs can use this to help make sure they cover everything the student should know. It also serves as a good refresher for CFIs and you could even learn a thing or two from this author! I highly recommend this material for any CFI or student if you want to have a good edge on your checkride!

This is by far the best I’ve seen in a long while! It’s to the point, but detailed! As a CFI, I regularly use this with my students! This allows me plan ahead and make sure that I covered all the necessary items! My students also get to see that checkride is nothing to fear, but rather show your proficiency! VERY pleased with the content and looking forward to the IRA and CPL book!
