You can take the girl out of the force, but you can’t keep her away from the action…

Maggie Doyle moves to Ireland to escape her cheating ex and crumbling career in the San Francisco PD. When the most hated woman on Whisper Island is poisoned at her aunt’s Movie Theater Café, Maggie and her rock-hard muffins are hurled into the murder investigation.

With the help of her UFO-enthusiast friend, a nun, and a feral puppy, Maggie is determined to clear her aunt’s name. Can she catch the murderer before they strike again? Or will her terrible baking skills burn down the café first?

Another arrogant Ugly American story. A failed American policewoman with no remorse for attacking and brutalizing her husband, who successfully divorces her, runs away to Ireland to teach the locals how to deal with a murder. In mature fashion she sticks her tongue out at least three times, messes up the chain of custody for evidence, gets her aunt arrested, and and breaks multiple laws for her “case”. If all of the foolishness can be ignored, the story remains improbable and silly. Luckily, for those who dream of being an author but have no talent, there is always self-publishing. At least, I did not pay for this time waster.

Loved Loved Loved this eBook story!!! At the very beginning of the story, author Zara Keane gives an outstanding explanations to the Gaelic & Irish vocabulary! This helped tremendously in being able to enjoy the story that much more! Zara was so thorough in developing the characters. I felt like I was right there! The story moved smoothly. Kept me wondering over several persons of who poisoned that woman no one liked! I didn't figure it out til the end! Surprisingly, this was a free eBook. Zara Keane, you have a new ardent fan. I am planning to buy all of this series!!! AND, anything else she writes!!! 🐰🐰🐰
