You Were Meant For Me Kait Nolan Book Review Score: ★★★★★ 5/5 stars

It was supposed to be just a fling...

Tess Peyton wanted to do something fun and reckless and wholly out of character.  A steamy weekend with a Scotsman is just the ticket.  But she finds a good Southern boy instead.  When one night turns to two, and two turns to more, she knows she’s in way over her head.

They agreed on no last names...

Mitch Campbell has regretted that decision since the moment he woke up to find her gone.  With no means of tracking her down, he returns home, brokenhearted. But Fate seems intent on giving him another chance—with a hefty side of complication. His European fling is none other than the only daughter of his new uncle--the local billionaire.

They both got more than they bargained for...

Desperate to find out if it’s more than explosive heat, Tess and Mitch dive headlong back into their affair. The last thing either of them needs is for the family to find out. But when Tess ends up pregnant, he’ll have the biggest fight of his life convincing her that their fling should be forever.

I lived this book, it was a fun twist to the “vacation romance” storyline! And like Tess. I have to wonder, who isn’t paired up in Wishful now?! I hope we get to read more about this fantastic little town!

Kait Nolan did it again! I was initially unsure if an older couple plot line will be interesting but it sure is!! When the story telling is right! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a wonderful addition to Kait Nolan’s Wishful series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it is also a great way to catch up with old friends. Tess has a vacation fling in Scotland. When she goes to visit her father and his new wife in Wishful, she discovers that Mitch, who she thought she’d never see again, is part of her new step family. I am so glad that the author found such a clever way to intreduce a new love interest to my favorite small, southern fictional town. True love is hard to find and Tess and Mitch didn't expect to find it in the highlands, but that's just what they did. Fear sent Tess running, back to the corporate world. proving herself and the position she fought so hard to earn. Regret for walking away from a wonderful chance at love, Tess is shocked to find Mitch in the most unexpected places. Do they have a chance to really get to know each other, find out if this is the real thing? Kait weaves two heart on a journey of what love and unexpected gifts can mean. • Romance at its best!

*Spoiler Alert* Mitch and Tess’s romance begins as you would not suspect. They both speak with friends about th wonderful vacation they had not realizing that the romance of that vacation is not over. They meet again in a place that when neither suspected they would ever see each other again. The tension at their unknowing reunion is palpable in the reading. As a reader, you just wanted to say to either of them “Just go get him/her, for goodness sakes!” They play it cool but then fate, or a grandmother, intervenes. (You just have to love Grandmothers that interfere for the benefit of their grandchildren.) The rest is meant to be read and enjoyed! Every chance I get, I look for a Kait Nolan title to read or reread. Romance by her never gets boring. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book was so much fun to read! I loved the romance of the two main characters meeting for a fling in Europe and then crossing paths back in Wishful. The best part of any Kait Nolan book is how she writes her characters. They come across as real people that you want to be friends with, and she does in a way that really carries the story. I love, love, love this book. I love how it’s written, the quality of the writing and how well built the town of Wishful has become. Read this book. You will love it. You were meant for me- Mitch and Tess I really enjoy reading Kati’s books. This one didn’t disappoint. I love 2nd chances. I could relate to letting your childhood Lens of the world cloud a situation/relationship. I also love seeing the Campbell family interactions. Many of the residents of wishful are in this book and it is nice to see were they are now. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I read this book in one night ! I loved that Mitch was so connected to Tess and they were both tuned into each other! I always love how the rest of Hope Springs characters are weaves into the story. There were times when I wanted to shake Tess like one would a friend to make her see the facts. Kait Nolan gives yet another wonderfully written romance in a small town where families and love come first !! A must read!! This was a great addition to the Wishful series, you get a peek into the lives of couples from earlier books and Mitch finally has his story. You also get to get to know Trey’s daughter Tess. This book does have pre marital relationships in it but no graphic scenes. The book was well written without grammatical errors and flows nicely. Kate Nolan’s books guarantee an HEA; that’s a given. But the ending in You Were Meant For Me had me laughing out load with it’s unexpected & hilarious conclusion. In fact there are many unexpected turns throughout the story that are truly fascinating. You know Mitch & Tess will fall in love, but getting there is so much fun, especially with the wacky Campbell clan. This story is even more interesting if you’ve read the previous books in the Wishful series. However, it’s definitely a standalone story with excellent character development that will embrace first time readers & have you wanting to look into the side characters’ own stories . Make a pot of tea & sit back for a really good story.
