Farmers make the earth move.

The last person Griffin Shipley expects to find stuck in a ditch on his Vermont country road is his ex-hookup. Five years ago they’d shared a couple of steamy nights together. But that was a lifetime ago.

At twenty-seven, Griff is now the accidental patriarch of his family farm. Even his enormous shoulders feel the strain of supporting his mother, three siblings and a dotty grandfather. He doesn’t have time for the sorority girl who’s shown up expecting to buy his hard cider at half price.

Vermont was never in Audrey Kidder’s travel plans. Neither was Griff Shipley. But she needs a second chance with the restaurant conglomerate employing her. Okay—a fifth chance. And no self-righteous cider-making lumbersexual farmer will stand in her way.

They’re adversaries. They want entirely different things from life. Too bad their sexual chemistry is as hot as Audrey’s top secret enchilada sauce, and then some.

"Smart, funny and super sexy, Bittersweet is full of the kind of writing that makes Sarina Bowen one of my favorite author crushes." Author Sarah Mayberry.

Unfortunately another story that might be good if you can get past all the F words on mostly every page. Why do these authors think they need to use that low class word to tell their story? There is an audience out there that does not appreciate that type of low class language that seems to be so common these days.

This is one of the best stories I have read in a long time. I don’t give many 5 star reviews. Loved the details about the worlds of farming and culinary careers, cooking. The characters were interesting, and the relationships (both harmonious and difficult) were believable. The author did a great job giving even small, supporting characters enough depth to make them interesting and believable. She loved all her characters. I can’t say enough how enjoyable this story was. And, it was positive, without being Pollyanna.

A smart, sassy but insecure heroine falls for a rugged, grumpy but handsome farmer. Someone she knew before. Set in picturesque Vermont. A great Love story
