The need to know book
I enjoy the fact Mike strives to provide solid logic to statements he makes. Even better was the proof I see for myself following it. Easy read too.
Grea great book
First of want to say that Mike is a living proof of being a natural weightlifter and fitness enthusiast. He knows his stuff and in the book he explains everything. I had this book for a long time and still use it. I myself have gained tremendous results from it. From strength and muscle, it helped a lot. At first it looks simple, but when you go through the workouts with the way its suppose to be(he lays it out), it becomes tough and challenging. This book is 100% truth and will help any natural lifter, period. Its no junk that other "enhanced" fitness heads give out. Could write many many more but to cut it short: Best book, he knows his stuff, i have gotten results and still till this day am. It will help any natural lifter from working out to self knowledge about ones body.
Great Advanced Follow Up
Although I just recently started on the BLS program, I decided to go ahead and purchase Beyond BLS and it is definitely an Advanced Version. Mike outlines towards the beginning of this book guidelines to determine whether you're ready to start the advanced version (and I'm not there yet). Having said that, I was able to use some of the advanced tips in the book, (especially for cutting) and apply them to my current BLS program. Reading BBLS has just motivated me to hit my strength goals sooner than later so that I can move on to the more advanced techniques.
A great book and follow up to BLS
Read Bigger, Leaner, Stronger first, then jump into this awesome book. Great information, easy to understand and programs that actually work.
He does it again.
I picked up Mike's first book two years ago, and my fitness program changed rapidly for the better. His methods prescribed led me to the shape I'm in today (much bigger and stronger than I've ever been).
With his new book, I've seen again why his methods are infallible. Mike researches and documents every "tidbit" or full-on "fact" that has to do with his readers' fitness. There are new programs, new methods and definitely new breakthroughs.
Good read and bible for anyone at the next level in their fitness!
