The Walking Dead: Compendium One Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard & Tony Moore Book Review Score: ★★★★★ 5/5 stars
The Walking Dead Compendium is here! Since 2003, Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead has been redefining the survival horror genre with its unique and vivid account of life after the end of the world. Although the cast is diverse and often changing (including, of course, a great number of zombies), at the heart of every tale is Rick Grimes: former police officer, husband, father, and de facto leader of a ragtag band of survivors looking to make a future for themselves in a world that no longer has one. To call The Walking Dead a zombie tale is accurate to a point, but it touches on only one facet of a story that asks timeless questions about what it means to live. It also asks whether or not this is possible in a world full of the dead. This is a great opportunity to experience this gripping read for the first time or catch up on the tale with the first four years worth of material, collected in one volume for the first time. The first eight volumes of this fan-favorite series collected into one massive collection. This volume collects THE WALKING DEAD #1-48.

User reviews about this book
I love it
The electronic format beats carrying around paperbacks.
Love the book but apple store is terrible
Downloaded the book and absolutely love it even more than the TV series. Only complaint is that it took 2 hours to initially download then apple thought I didnt want long enough and decided to start the whole process. Thanks Apple for making things more diffiuclt than they need to be. Greatly appreciate it. 5 star comic -5 star customr service
Rejoice - The Crashing Glitch is DEAD!
The initial rollout of iOS 9 introduced a glitch in iBooks that caused large page count graphic novels to crash after passing a certain page count. Due to their size, all three TWD compendiums were impacted. The latest patches to iOS have fixed the issue and I have read all three volumes without a crash (yes, volume three is available in iBooks again).
Love it but

I love this book but when I try to open it ,it crashes hope you can fix this
Bought this a few days ago, got as far as chapter 4 now when I try to open it, the iBook app crashes! This needs to be fixed immediately! Spend that kind of money it should work!
Won't work on iBooks. Just keeps crashing
Unable to read. Crashes iBooks on load every time.
I was able to get about 1/4 way through on my iPad Pro before it crashed. Now, even after deleting and reinstalling the book, it instantly crashes iBooks every time I try to open it. I saw this was happening to other reviewers but figured it would probably work fine for me. I was wrong.
Do not buy.
DO NOT BUY YET, CRASHES IBOOKS
While the book itself is great, an update has rendered it useless and it crashes iBooks every time I open it.

I was really getting into it, then it crashed and won't open again. I tried to uninstall it and reinstall it but nothing works. Apple needs to fix this and/or give me my money back!
