ANOTHER TITLE THAT TALKS IN GENERALITIES
I have bought several eBooks and iBooks in an effort to learn MAC OS. So far, the majority, like this one talk in general about the changes in Mavericks and the new features without ever getting down to telling you exactly how to do anything. It will be refreshing when I get to an ebook or ibook that actuallly tells me how to get something done. like: FIRST DO THIS, THEN…..
Siracusa does it again.
I am a first time reader of this author and was extremely impressed.
I will be looking for more works by John.
Siracusa wonders if yearly releases are hampering Apple from truly revolutionizing OS X standbys like the Finder. I wonder what Siracusa's razor sharp yearly focus to one of the least exciting things coming out of Cupertino, is keeping him from.
It really says something that it took me a month to finish this review, pouring over every link and detail. Without doubt, these yearly reviews are worth their weight in gold to anyone with a genuine interest in not only OS X but what Apple is thinking behind the scenes. I just wonder what else Siracusa could do if he slept a bit more and put those thousand hours of writing towards something new between WWDC and the end of fall each year.
Another gem from Siracusa. Support John buy purchasing the book.
The King of OS X Reviews
After reading all of Siracusa's reviews since 10.3, I had high expectations for the newest installment. Absolutely was not disappointed!
The measure to which all others need measure
This is the definitive review. If not only because he didn't throw the raccoon away...
Another winner in a long line of reviews
John’s perspective and analysis is un-paralleled. Read this review.
So, so good.

Wonderful description of Mavericks. John adds wonderful long-term perspective (he’s been doing this for a long time) and excellent opinionated commentary.
I laughed out lound a few times and was smiling so much while reading the final paragraph. Thank you John for doing this for us.
