I wrote a review last year when I first read the book. I enjoyed it immediately. It made a lot of sense to me. I have had a year now to incorporate John's instructions into my game. It works. His step by step approach to the swing is understandable. It takes time and practice. I have reread the book several times. His drills are terrific. My ball striking has improved greatly. John, thank you!
A Golf Swing You Can Trust
I found this book to be very helpful and easy to understand. The next day reduced my score by 6 and have shared his book with two of my teammates already. I was so pleased that I purchased his short game book and ordered his book Inside Prison from Amazon in that I could not order it for my IPad.
A difference maker
I have worked at the game of golf since 1982. My game has evolved over the years, and I have had some high points (5 aces), but consistency has always been lacking. I am a person who need to know the "why" of what I am doing to assimilate it into my game. In the later years, I have taken some training, but I wasn't hearing the answers on basic pieces (setup, grip) that resonated with me.
I found John's short game book on iBooks, and I saw that he had a take on the golf swing. John's "foundation up" approach to teaching helped to fill in the cracks in my study of the game. The instruction on alignment helped me finally solve the conundrum of tee boxes that are at odd angles. The tips on grip and head alignment helps a me to diagnose my wayward shots on the fly.
The tips are taking a bit of time to add to my game, but as each does, the holes in my game are shrinking. The dream of a single digit handicap was put off to the side, because I have crossed the 50 year threshold, and with it, a few yards off of my shots...or so I thought. The renewed confidence in my shots has given me those yards back, and them some. I practiced on an executive 9 today, and consistently "clubbed up" 1-2 clubs on every hole. It was a bit annoying to basically fly every green, but dog gone it, that is a nice problem to have.
Long story short, with John Hoskison's training on every shot, the dream is ALIVE, ALIVE, AAALLLIIIVVVEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks John.
By i don’t need one

This is by far the best golf book for the swing I have ever read! Thank You!
GREAT Book! Simple swing!
If your looking for a simple, easy to learn swing that can help you hit the ball straight....then this is the book for you.
If you struggle with having a confident, solid swing then this book will simplify everything for you.
Mr. Hoskison will even go above and beyond and respond to your emails with any questions.
Amazing book! Great author! Buy it!
What an immediate difference this book has made to my golfing confidence. Not a lot of gibberish or talking around the swing. Mr. Hoskison uses a great life story to drive the point home. Thank You on a personal level for taking the golf swing and breaking it down to where my daughter is standing in the living room practicing her one piece take-away. I can wholeheartedly recommend this book to beginners and the low handicappers.
The best golf I have ever read
By Dirty Old Lefty
This book is the only one that got me back on track. I spent over a year trying rebuild a swing I had no confidence in.
Simply put, follow the advice and practice his drills.
My last score before I read this was a 94. Yesterday, i shot an 83.
I firmly believe this is best book for me. The fact that it is free is an amazing bonus.
After reading many books and trying many different teachers, this book nailed it for me! I can finally concentrate in a few specific concepts that have made my golf swing much more consistent!
I really want to thank John Hoskinson from the bottom of my heart!
On top of it: very well written and easy to read and understand.
I do not believe this is FREE!
