Sometimes rock bottom is the best place to rebuild.
Book 3 in the Treading Water Series
In a drunken stupor, Brandon O'Malley frightens his brother Aidan's girlfriend, enraging his brother and the rest of his family. Aidan offers Brandon the choice of rehab or jail, and Brandon reluctantly enters treatment. While in rehab, he confronts the lifetime of secrets and resentments that fueled his spiral into alcoholism, and these revelations have a major effect on his entire family. When he returns home expecting to resume his supervisory role in the family’s construction business, Brandon learns his father has retired and put his younger brother, Colin, in charge. Brandon is unhappy to be given the job of renovating an apartment building where he loses his heart to an adorable five-year-old tenant named “Mike.” After he falls hard for Michaela, Brandon becomes involved with her mother Daphne, who is running from a past that will later test his sobriety and his mettle as a man.
"The finale to the Treading Water trilogy was an enchanting lesson in ensuring a low point in your life doesn't define the person you become. It is wonderfully written with characters that envelope you in their world. This book is an excellent ending to a series of books that truly pulled at my heartstrings." —Starting Over, A Reviewer Top Pick, Night Owl Reviews.

User reviews about this book
My favorite book
This book is so touching on so many levels.
Brandon the alcoholic in rehab and he doesn't want to be. He thinks everyone is against him. Only to find himself exactly where he needed to be. By the time he leaves rehab he has a new since of life.
He finds out his brother is taking over the company his dad started and that his dad was giving him a new renovation job. He was going to live there amongst the 5 tenants that already lived there. One smoking hot blond goddess and the rest elderly. Dennis, Brandon's dad was terrified of her she was grumpy! Brandon found it amusing that his dad was terrified of a girl. When Brandon went and fixed the sink at her apartment he wasn't ready for the little girl that would find him.
From that moment mike was wrapped around Brandon's finger and his heart .
Soon all his brothers would be getting married so he ask both mike and Delphine if he can marry them.
Delphine and mike get kidnapped my mikes grandma on her deceased fathers side and craziness happens at the end they have all been reunited. Love this story so much.
Ahh this book is might be my favorite Marie Force book
This book is a look inside many families lives! It's heart warming and heart wrenching all at the same time! Is aggravating and happily ever after too!
Loved the series
I just loved this series. I couldn't put the books down once I started the first one. They made me laugh and cry. Have already recommended this series to friends. This is a series I will go back and read again!!
This was my absolute favorite of the whole series I could get enough
Such a wonderful story, just like all the others. Where I was a little confused with the start of the epilogue, it made me happy to see how things turned out for everyone and made me cry.
The absolute BEST author of romance!!!
I've read tons of other books by super talented authors, but Marie takes the cake. She has a gift of creating characters and making them so real you forget that they aren't.
Loved all 4 books!
I read all 4 books in this series. They are all good and I love the development of all the characters old and new. This one gets more complicated because there are so many new characters added but it is still a sweet story.
OMG! Can we say ADDICTED!
