Stay Close Harlan Coben Book Review Score: ★★★★★ 5/5 stars
#1 New York Times bestselling author Harlan Coben proves that the past never truly fades away as the American dream becomes a nightmare in this shocking thriller.
Megan is a suburban soccer mom who once upon a time walked on the wild side. Ray used to be a talented documentary photographer, but now finds himself in a dead-end job posing as paparazzo. Broome is a detective who can’t let go of a cold case.
Three people living lives they never wanted are hiding secrets that even those closest to them would never suspect. And as each confronts the dark side of the American dream—the boredom of a nice suburban life, the excitement of temptation, the desperation and hunger that can lurk behind even the prettiest facades—they will discover the hard truth that the line between one kind of life and another can be as whisper-thin as a heartbeat.

User reviews about this book
Coben never disappoints
Another of Harlan Coban's hit stories that takes one in and doesn't let go. Always entertaining, interesting and makes you wonder who these characters remind you of, so real are they. I'll get more of Coben's books.
Different Isn't Necessarily Better
I've read a lot of Colbain's books and this one surprised me - not in a good way. The plot is complex but is both improbable and unexciting. The characters are pasteboard models of victims suffering from traumas, mental disorders and asocial behaviors. This is capped off with interior dialogue that could have been stolen from one of those "Romance"novels available at your local grocery.
Boring & Disjointed
So poorly written I could not endure finishing this book...hope his others are better.

It was an OK book, not his best .i am giving it 3 stars
Poorly written, slow read. Super cheesy phrases and lines. Vocabulary was a bore. Words such as "seedy" and "cesspool" used over four times in the book. I was turning pages just to reach the end.
I'm picky and I thought it was great

I read it quickly and thought the author did a nice job of slowly relaying the story to keep you guessing, but not so slow you get bored. Downloading more novels by this author now!

Hard to put down. Excellent character development although it was a little predictable. My first Coben read. Will read more of him.

This was the least interesting Harlan Coben book I have read thus far and I have read nearly every one. I had correctly identified the murderer one-third of the way into the book. Usually there are last minute surprises in his books that keep you guessing-not so in this book. It was a very predictable murder mystery and he recycles some dialogue from some of his other books. I was very disappointed.
I love reading Harlan coben, but this book was painful to read.
Harlan, did you really write this one???? I want my money back.
I thoroughly enjoyed the various characters and how the stories wove in and out and around each other.
The plot twists and details were intriguing and kept this reader engaged.
