Book 2 of USA Today Bestselling author, W.J. May's new series, EVERLASTING brings you deeper into the world of shifters, fae, and magic.

I will fight for those I love.

When the crown prince puts a bounty on her head, Katerina and the gang find themselves facing trouble at every turn. It’s a race to get the safe house in time, but will they pull together to work as a team, or will their differences pull them apart?

Strengths and weaknesses are put to the test, as Katerina is plunged headfirst into a magical world she never knew existed. Fiction becomes reality, as the characters from her childhood fairytales come to life, bringing with them secrets she could never have imagined.

Her bloodline gives her the right to call herself their queen, but is the division between the royal family and the magical kingdom too great? How can she mend the damage of the past?

More importantly…can she be the one to unite her people?

Be careful who you trust. Even the devil was once an angel.

I really had to think about this, before writing my review. Mostly, I feel disappointed. I loved the first book, it’s a book I would re-read where I normally don’t re-read books. I would have given it 6 stars if I’d been able to. This one, I did not, nor would I ever re-read this. I wish I hadn’t read it at all, since it disillusioned me from the first book. I really had to force myself to keep reading in places too. The plot was tediously slow. In some places, down right unbelievable (a few examples of the many, below in the spoilers). The 4 main characters all became annoying. No idea why they were staying together, cause I saw no reason to be friends with each other or for that matter, loyal to Katerina. The whole writing style seemed different from the first book to me, I can’t really explain why. The whole book was full of editing/proof reading errors too for a published work. Quite a few places I had to stop & try to interpret the meaning of a sentence or even a paragraph due to the mistakes. I’m not sure I will continue on with the series at this point. SPOILERS! How can Tanya be walking, climbing, descending a cliff in rock climbing type techniques, on a broken leg with only a belt wrapped around it for support? How can Katerina know how to insert a knife between the ribs on Cassiel (after having seen it just one time from a distance when she was younger on a hunting party) solve breathing issues from a punctured lung by his broken ribs? Medically speaking, no way could any of them be able to trek such distances with the injuries they were supposed to have. There are no explanations to so many things (besides the medical side), going down in this book, & a reader is supposed to just accept these things. I realize this is fantasy but without adding a bit of realism to the mix or some how miraculously heal, or giving an explanation, or something, it does not sound plausible, & stuff like that pulls me out of a story, because I can’t focus on anything but the Unbelievable thing that happened...
  • A definite read

I am in love with this series. This book had me laughing out loud along with feel the characters frustration. I loved learning some back story on the characters and seeing them realize some truths. It keeps you rooting for the under dogs. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
