Haters to Lovers to Happily Ever After… Right?
By Book Addict Reviewer
I really wanted to love or at least like this book and I just could not get there. Don’t get me wrong, the writing itself is good, I just could not get past how awful Aden was to Hope in the beginning of the book. I mean he literally had no redeeming qualities and then the ending left a bad taste in my mouth even though it was a HEA. It was Okay but I would recommend all of Jordan Marie’s other books over this one.
Great enemies to lovers story
I love where this new series is going. This is the first enemies to lovers book that I have read in awhile and it was perfect. Jordan Marie gives us two main characters that are individually easy to love and understand but when they get together it is like oil and water. Hope is a single mother struggling to survive and raise her toddler son. She has recently packed everything and moved to Clancy, Idaho to renovate and run a hotel that her aunt willed to her. Aden is a Hollywood actor and writer that is trying to get away from it all for a while. He's at the top of his career and just walked off the set of a movie that was going to pay him $70 million dollars and quit. Hope and Aden rub each other the wrong way until the night when too much cold medicine and too much alcohol collide and they wake up in bed together...and things only go downhill from there. After a serious accident Hope and Aden get to find a different side to each other but can a relationship built on lies ever last?
This is a story where you see just how bad things can spiral out of control from just a few innocent mistakes. Past events create hidden wounds that are felt at the worst possible times. It's a story of realizing your mistakes and forgiving others for theirs. It's different from your typical Jordan Marie book but in a word, it's brilliant.
I loved that we got to cross series by bringing Hope's aunt Ida Sue and cousin White Lucas to Clancy to help Hope, along with appearances by Gavin, Casey, and Titan. I can't wait for Taking It Slow - Titan and Faith's story where we get Aden's friend hooking up with Hope's sister.
The Hero was a jerk. However I liked the heroine, and of course Ida Sue and her Flower and Color Gang! I was a little disappointed in the hero and some of his friends, but other than that it was good.
Another fantastic book!
Sometimes I feel like Jordan Marie must be the literary version of Kevin Costner's character in Field of Dreams!!! If she writes it I will read it!!! This book is no different!!! It's a little different than most of her books but this is not a bad thing. And really, if you have read her Lucas Brothers series, this book fits in perfectly!!!
Hope Lucas is caught in a situation and every turn she makes just gets her in deeper and deeper. But what is a girl to do when faced with losing everything because of an entitled jerk bent on making her life miserable? And when one harmless little white lie snowballs into something so much more complicated, Hope just doesn't know how to end it without losing everything.
Aden "Smith"! There is a lot more there than meets the eye in the beginning. I really didn't want to like anything about this guy. He's had it with women, and with being used. Not that I don't believe he brought on a lot of that himself, but you can bet he will do ANYTHING to keep from allowing it to continue. Including convincing himself that all women, whether in Hollywood or in small-town Idaho, are only out for what they can get.
Things start out bad and only escalate from there between Hope and Aden. I think I shook my head in complete awestruck wonder more times in this book than I have in a long time. And I laughed, great big belly laughs. I mean, really, Hope?!? What were you thinking?
Thank you, Jordan Marie, for once again giving your readers a fantastic read, no matter how convoluted the road to our much-loved HEA was!!!
How can I both love and hate a character at the same time? Well, when the author is Jordan Marie, it certainly is possible. Aden is a character with flaws and does not have a huge respect for women. Hope, is trying to raise her son and make a good life for the both of them. When they meet, they instantly dislike each other. As their story progresses, they learn things about each other. Can they look past their own flaws and see each other? Jordan writes raw emotion and that's what draws me to her books. This love story is one of discovery, forgiveness and humbleness. Ida Sue showed her true colors when she came to Hope's rescue. Looking forward to the next book
No Viagra Here
Who loves a good intense, enemies to lovers romance? This girl. Aden is the guy you hate to love, but can’t help wanting him. Hope is the girl I want as my best friend and want to help. When the two meet all kinds of sparks fly between Aden and Hope. I didn’t want it to end.

Fantastic read. It’s fun, sexy and steamy. It will hook you in from the beginning to end. You will love Hope and Aden. I loved the banter between the characters and the chemistry was off the charts hot! I absolutely love Ida Sue more and more and the whole family. It’s an entertaining read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Aden and Hope...first comes marriage, then comes love?
Aden.......is egotistical, arrogant, and self centered..
Hope.......is strong, sassy, and a mom
Aden and Hope are completely opposite
Aden falls, Hope saves him...
Aden can’t remember who he is...and this is where the tangle web begins..
Hope to keep her “husband” at bay she tells him white lies, his reactions are the best..
Ida Sue is back!!! She is funny, blunt, insightful...she will make you laugh...
